Artistic Anatomy Drawing

This elective course is designed for students interested in honing their theoretical and practical skills in artistic anatomical visualization and applying them to medical anatomy. The course is structured into three stages: initial exploration of documentary image visualization, studying anatomy for educational purposes, and engaging in interactive, collaborative research on anatomical studies through studio practice. Students will gain essential insights into the structure, technique, and visual framework of anatomical studies for artistic purposes and its intersection with science and technology. This specialized program also delves into anatomy through literature studies and mono-disciplinary and interdisciplinary anatomical drawing practices. Upon completion of the course, students are expected to comprehend critical concepts and collaboration techniques and demonstrate expertise in artistically visualizing anatomical areas of the body. The elective course package includes documentary drawing (2 credits), educational anatomy drawing (2 credits), collaborative research on medical anatomy drawing (3 credits), and contemporary drawing (3 SKS).
