Control and Robotics

Produce engineers who have the ability to design analog/digital control systems, hardware/software design, and basic artificial intelligence for autonomous and robotic systems. Elective courses include design and synthesis of multivariable analog/digital feedback control systems, performance and robustness trade-offs, model-based compensators, implementation of multivariable control systems with observers and state-feedback, fuzzy set theory, neural networks, supervised learning, backpropagation , applications of intelligent systems and control, kinematics and inverse-kinematics of robots, robot motion planning, collaborative robots, Robot Operating Systems (ROS), up to final projects/labs for designing robotics and autonomous systems. After having this ability, students can work as control systems engineers, robotics engineers, embedded engineers, system integrators, and similar positions in companies in the fields of oil & gas, energy, transportation, smart agriculture, robotics, artificial intelligence, automotive, automation industry, aerospace. , maritime, logistics, mining, health, and others related to control systems, robotics, and automation.
